Abstract
Ithmaar Bank is the first bank to introduce Mobile Online Banking in Bahrain. This provides Ithmaar customers the facility to conduct financial and non financial transactions through their smart mobile devices.

Service  Description
Customer Summary The first screen that appears after logging in to the Mobile Online Banking system is the Accounts Summary which shows customer account numbers, currency and available balances.
Balance Inquiry Customers can inquire about their account balance and other related details.
Mini Statement Customers can view the latest transactions conducted on a specific account.
Modaraba Inquiry Customers can inquire about the balance of their Modaraba account.
Modaraba Mini Statement Customers can view the latest transactions conducted on their Modaraba account.
Financing (Morabaha) Balance Inquiry Customers can inquire about the balance of their Morabaha certificate.
Credit Card Balance Inquiry Customers can inquire about the current balance of their credit card.
Credit Card Unbilled Transactions Customers can view the latest unbilled transactions on their credit card.
Payment to Credit Card Customers can make payments to their credit cards.
Utility Bill Inquiry Customers can inquire about their bills.
Bill Payment By Account Customers can pay their bills by directly debiting their account.
Utility Bill Maintenance Customers can add new utilities using the Mobile Online Banking application.
Fund Transfer Own Account Customers can transfer amounts between their accounts.
3rd Party Ithmaar Accounts Transfers Customers can transfer amounts from their account to other beneficiaries within the Bank.
Beneficiary Maintenance Customers can maintain new Third Party internal beneficiaries
Message Center Customers can send messages/inquiries to the Bank.
PIN Change Customers can change their PIN.
Language Selection Customers can change their language preference (Arabic/English)

Ithmaar Bank is the first Bank in Bahrain to introduce Mobile Online Banking services to its clients. With the Mobile Online Banking, Ithmaar customers can perform inquiries and financial transactions anywhere, anytime using their smart mobile phones or any portable device.

What is the difference between the normal Retail Banking and the Mobile Online Banking?

The Mobile Online Banking has a more user friendly interface and advanced technology specifically for mobile devices.

Who can use the Mobile Banking Service?
Any Ithmaar Bank customer with an Online Banking user name and password.

How can I apply for an access to the Mobile Banking?
If you already have a valid user name and password for the Online Banking, you can use the same to access the Mobile Online Banking service.

If you do not have access, then you need to visit your nearest Ithmaar branch.

Is it secure to use the Mobile Online Banking?
Yes. The Mobile Online Banking application uses sophisticated security technology.

How can I login to the Mobile Online Banking?
You can login by directly typing the Mobile Online Banking Link in your phone browser:

What are the Mobile Devices supported by the Mobile Online Banking?
Most mobile devices and smart phones including BlackBerry, iPhone, Nokia, Sony Ericson, HTC...etc.

How can I connect to the Mobile Online  Banking using my Mobile?
The Mobile Online Banking is like any other website; you need to have a connection to the internet to be able to use it. Your mobile needs to have either EDGE service (for blackberries), GPRS, WAP, or WiFi.

Please note: It is suggested that you familiarize yourself with your current data plan from your mobile service provider.

How much does Mobile Online  Banking cost?
It’s totally free as there are no additional Ithmaar Bank charges for using the Mobile banking service other than the standard Internet banking fees and charges which can be found at Fees and Charges.

Is Internet banking on my phone going to be slow?
No. To counter the problem of having to download a large amount of content as seen on our Internet banking site, Mobile banking will operate by sending very small packets of data at a time to ensure the quickest possible mobile experience. However, this will also depend on your Mobile Data Plan package or internet connection speed.

Why can't I connect to the Internet on my mobile phone?
If you are unable to access the internet through your mobile phone you should contact your mobile phone provider or the manufacturer's technical support.

Can I be logged into Internet banking and Mobile Online Banking at the same time?
You cannot perform any transactions or enquiries while logged into both Internet banking and Mobile banking.

Do I need Ithmaar Bank account to use Mobile Online Banking?
All Internet-capable mobile phones can access Ithmaar Bank Mobile Online Banking site https://ebanking.ithmaarbank.com/MobBank , however to use Mobile banking you must have Ithmaar Bank account with Internet banking facility on your profile.

What happens to my session if my mobile phone locks from inactivity?
For security reasons, the Mobile Online Banking session will become inactive after five minutes of inactivity. Simply sign on again.

For any inquiries, please visit your nearest Ithmaar branch, or call the call center on 13303030.

Ensure the following:

Go to the browser > Options > Browser Configuration

The Browser is set to “Internet Browser”
“Support Java Script” Option is ticked.
Browser Identification Should be “Blackberry”.
